DVD VENDING MACHINE IMPORT REQUIREMENTS- NO PERMIT NEEDED- Goods must be checked by Standards Australia (Queensland Office) PH - 1800 672 321 or PH - 3216 1355 To make sure they comply with Australian standards. This is a one off procedure and is done when you decide which machine, and done with machine specifications and information as its too difficult to do it with the actual machine. A personal document is provided and this document is NOT REQUIRED BY CUSTOMS.- Shipping should be the responsibility of the vendor. In case where they do not take responsibility, you must organize it yourself.- With "sea freight" goods, a BILL OF LADING IS REQUIRED You can do this by paying a CUSTOMS AGENT OR BROKER or DO IT YOURSELF. This is the procedure to do it yourself.1. You organize the transport company to transport your goods.2. You organize insurance for the transport of the goods. *keep insurance down to reduce gst fees3. When the goods arrive in Australia, you will be notified by the shipping line.4. You then prepare these import documents : - INVOICE - This is supplied by the supplier - BILL OF LADING - This is supplied by the shipping line - PACKING LIST - Supplied by the supplier - PACKING DECLARATION - Supplied by the supplier5. Prepare FORM B616, INCLUDE ALL IMPORT DOCUMENTS (as above)6. Prepare FORM B969 (you will be given a customs I.D no. on lodgement)7. Prepare FORM B 646*ALL THESE FORMS ARE FOUND AT www.customs.gov.au/ mediapublicationandforms/ forms8. Lodge form in person at : Importation By Sea, 140 Creek St, Brisbane PH 3835 3399FEES - There is no lodgement fee - Upon lodgement you will pay a DUTY FEE - 5% of cost of machine (must be Australian dollars) - You will also pay GST - 10% of total (cost of machine + duty costs+ transport and insurance costs)
