Micrion Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets focused-ion-beam systems which are used to image, analyze and perform "microsurgery" on integrated circuits and other high technology devices. The company has subsidiaries in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and certain of the Pacific Rim countries. These products are applied in mask repair, process control and failure analysis in the semi-conductor industry. Exports accounted for 62% of fiscal 1998 revenues. Product revenues accounted for 96% of fiscal 1998 revenues and contract revenues, 4%.
