Portland General Corporation is an electric utility holding company supplying electricity through its subsidiary Portland General Electric Company in northwest Oregon. The company supplies electricity to an area of 4,070 square miles which contains a population of 1.4 million. Electricity sales to residential customers accounted for 39% of 1995 revenues; commercial, 34%; industrial, 16%; wholesale sales, 9% and other, 2%.
