Saltos de Nansa, S.A. generates, transmits and sells electric energy through its four hydro-electric plants on the River Nansa in Asturias. The company owns and operates a reservoir and a system of canals along a 360km stretch of the river. In 1997, the system generated 136 million kilowatts of electricity.
