Sierra Pacific Power Company. The Group's principal activities are to transmit, generate, purchase and sell electric energy and natural gas. The Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources. Electricity is provided to approximately 318,000 customers in a 50,000 square mile service area in western, central and northeastern Nevada. The services are also provided to cities of Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Elko, and a portion of Eastern California including the Lake Tahoe area. The Group provides natural gas to approximately 123,500 customers in an area of 600 square in Reno/Sparks and environs. Electric energy accounted for 86% of 2002 revenues and natural gas, 14%.
