Madison Gas & Electric Company(MGE). The principal activities of the Group are the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. The Group also transports and distributes natural gas. The electric operations of the Company delivers electric services to about 126,000 customers. The gas operations distributes natural gas to about 114,000 customers. Electric operations accounted for 63% of 2000 revenues and gas operations, 37%.
