Michigan Consolidated Gas Company. The Group's principal activities are the distribution and transmission of natural gas in the state of Michigan. The major services provided include gas sales, end user transportation and intermediate transportation. The services are provided to more than 1.2 million residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Michigan. The principal markets are located in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Traverse City, Marquette, and Muskegon metropolitan areas and in various other communities throughout Michigan. Gas sales accounted for 82% of 2002 revenues; Transportation & Storage services, 13% and Other revenues, 5%.
