Northern Illinois Gas Company. The Group's principal activity is the distribution of natural gas. The Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nicor Inc. It also provides transportation service, gas storage and supply to commercial and industrial customers who purchase their own gas supplies. The Group's operations are carried on in Northern Illinois. Gas distribution accounted for 82% of 2002 revenues; other revenues, 9% and transportation service, 9%.
