Wyko Group plc has three divisions, industrial distribution (distribution of bearings, power transmission components and seals), precision engineering (manufacture of tyre building drums, rolled and welded cylinders, precision bearings, polyurethane castings, extrusions, sheeting, elastomeric and foam products) and elctro-mechanical services. The larger Industrial Distribution division focuses on the supply of high quality products and components to the "maintenance, repair and overhaul" (MRO) sector of both process and manufacturing industry. The division operates through a nationwide network of 91 branches. The Precision Engineering division aims to develop businesses with strong positions in "niche" engineering markets. The largest activity within this division manufactures specialist tooling for the international tyre industry. The Group manufactures and deals in equipment for the energy, metalworking, rubber and many other industries. Industrial distribution accounted for 61% of fiscal 1998 revenues; electro-mechanical services, 32% and precision engineering, 7%.
