Yamato Glass Co., Ltd.. The Group's principal activity is the wholesale trading of packaging materials for foodstuffs and cosmetics. The products include glass bottles, plastic bottles, paper containers, high-functional film containers, wrapping equipment and electronic components. The electronic components include IC sockets, printed circuit boards, wafer sorters and wafer packing equipment. It also provides other purchased merchandise such as replenishing systems and vending machines and manufactures plastic bottles as well as collects and recycles them. The Group operates through four segments: Containers, Electronics-related components, Purchased goods and other. Containers accounted for 71% of fiscal 2002 revenues; Electronics-related components, 22%; Purchased goods, 2% and Other, 5%.
