The Group's principal activities are the production and distribution of lithographic technology including wafer steppers and Step & Scan systems. The group also offers equipment options and software upgrades. The products are for use in the telecommunications, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics sectors. The Group has technological agreements with leading IC manufacturers and R&D institutions in Europe, the US and the Asian/Pacific region and is a member of JESSI and ESPRIT. The Group is quoted both on the Amsterdam and Nasdaq stock exchanges. In December 2002 the Goup terminated the Track division and will divest Thermal in 2003. The Group has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and USA. Lithographic products accounted for 89% of 2002 revenues & lithographic services, 11%.
