Drayton Far Eastern Trust Plc is organised as an investment trust which invests in the stockmarkets of the Far East and Pacific region. The areas of investment are Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines and Indian sub-continent. There is also a small investment in United Kingdom companies which have significant trading operations in the Far East. Investment income accounted for 96% of 94 revenues; interest income, 6% and investment dealing income, -2%.
