As a professional electronics engineer I rate this unit best in its price range (under $2k), now in overall market (if price no objective) it is still second to none except according to rumors, sharp aquos. Paying over a thousand $$ more for sharp makes no sense and in my experience sharp's not any better anyway. If you want to rid yourself of radiation from the old crt-tube TV/monitors and avoid hassles of plasma short life and lower resolution, buy this syntax olevia 32" dont look at 30" as its chasis color is terrible silver and response time/contrast ratio too bad comparing to newer 32" olevia lt32hv, also 32" unit is classic black - beautifully crafted.
