  The surface should be firm, sound, clean, dry and absorbent. Remove old wallpaper with wallpaper remover or steam. Clean the surface properly and level it. Surface which not be well cleaned could cause stains. Porous and freshly plastered surfaces should be sized first. Nonabsorbent surfaces should be sanded to open pores. Apply by brush a proper and even coat of paste to the lengths of the wallpaper, dependent on the absorptive power of the material. Fold the lengths double, paste to paste, and allow to soak sufficiently. Nest start hanging the paper in the usual way. The paste remains available for some days. Remove stains and any excess paste immediately with a damp cloth. Clean tools with water. Keep dry.
