We use a big fan for maximum cooling of this player. The hard drive and other components can build up excessive temperatures and cause the system to halt without adequate cooling. Please note: It can decode MPEG2 with 1080P, which is the highest definition. The MKV can be up to 800 x 600 in resolution.
