Tenders are invited for the supply of generator terminal equipment related to the addition of a fifth generating unit at the Revelstoke Generating Station located approximately 5 km North of the centre of the City of Revelstoke, BC, Canada. Basic Tender Unit 5 Generator Terminal Equipment Tenders are requested for the following to support the addition of a fifth generating unit at the Revelstoke Generating Station: Supply of one set of 3 phase Generator Terminal Equipment including: (a) Isolated phase bus equipment; (b) Neutral cubicle; (c) Voltage transformer and surge protection cubicle; and (d) Shorting bar. (collectively, the "Unit 5 Generator Terminal Equipment") Tenderers are also requested to submit optional prices for: (a) Recommended spare parts for Unit 5 Generator Terminal Equipment; and (b) Supervisor for erection and/or commissioning of the Unit 5 Generator Terminal Equipment. Optional Pricing Unit 6 Generator Terminal Equipment Optional prices are also requested for the following to support the possible future addition of a sixth generating unit at the Revelstoke Generating Station: Supply of one set of 3 phase Generator Terminal Equipment including: (a) Isolated phase bus equipment; (b) Neutral cubicle; and (c) Voltage transformer and surge protection cubicle. (collectively, the "Unit 6 Generator Terminal Equipment") Tenderers are also requested to submit optional prices for: (a) Recommended spare parts for Unit 6 Generator Terminal Equipment; and (b) Supervisor for erection and/or commissioning of the Unit 6 Generator Terminal Equipment. BC Hydro reserves the exclusive right to include any, or all of, the optional prices for the Unit 6 Generator Terminal Equipment in the Contract, or to tender this work separately in either case where in its sole opinion there is an advantage to BC Hydro. The Tender Documents for Contract No. Q6-6322 may be inspected at the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Accenture Business Services for Utilities, 19th floor, 401 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6B 5A1, from 5 October 2007 to 11 January 2008. Accenture Business Services for Utilities ("ABSU") is a service provider to BC Hydro.* Copies of the Tender Documents may be obtained from this office upon prepayment of a non refundable fee of $57 inclusive of all taxes for each copy. Tenderers may make arrangements to obtain copies of the Tender Documents by contacting ABSU at 604 694 8523. Notwithstanding the above, no person shall be permitted to inspect or obtain copies of the Tender Documents unless that person first delivers to the Office of the Purchasing Manager a confidentiality and non disclosure agreement signed by the potential Tenderer whom the person is representing. A copy of the required agreement is available on request from the Office of the Purchasing Manager, at the above address. Before being considered, Tenderers must demonstrate that their financial resources, record of environmental responsibility, technical ability, commercial credibility and experience are commensurate with the Work to be performed. BC Hydro may not accept the lowest or any Tender and is not responsible for any costs incurred by any Tenderer in preparing its Tender. A Tenderer shall submit a Tender for the entire Work required by the Tender Documents. A Tenderer shall submit with its Tender a bid bond, letter of credit, or a certified cheque in the amount of 10% of the total of its Tender. The successful Tenderer shall be required to provide a performance bond of 50% of the contract price or a letter of credit in the amount of 17.5% of the contract price together with a third party guarantee executed by an entity acceptable to BC Hydro. BC Hydro will receive Tenders until 11:00 a.m. local time on Friday, 11 January 2008 at the Office of the Purchasing Manager, at the above address. BC Hydro shall open the Tenders publicly and shall make the prices known at 2:00 p.m. local time on that day.* Tenderers are advised of an optional Site visits to be held on Wednesday, 31 October 2007 at the Revelstoke Generating Station. In order to participate in the optional Site visit, Tenderers are required to register their names, or those of their representatives with Mr. Glenn Gloch, Fax No. 604 663 3915 or email glenn.gloch@absu.accenture.com no later than 24 October 2007. BC Hydro reserves the right to cancel the optional Site visit if no one has registered their intention to attend by 24 October 2007.
