This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-21 07 November 2007.The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 334510 and the business standard is 500 employees. The proposed acquisition is reserved for 100% small businesses. This is a name brand or equal acquisition clause 52.211-6 applies. Vendors must supply installation and warranty on parts, labor, and travel and 2 each copies of service and operating manuals; FOB Destination (as part of your bid): Line Item: 0001 Description: External Cavity Diode Laser System in the Littman/Metcalf Configuration 765 nm (SYS-420-765-1000) with a laser Driver unit (PC3000 and PZ500)And fiber Coupler (FC/APC) or equal Qty: 1 Unit: each unit price: total: High power, tunable, single longitudinal and spatial mode diode laser system centered at 765nm. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern.
