Type: Drilling Starch Application: Drilling, workover or completion fluid loss control additive Scientific name: Modified corn or potato starch fermentation resistant. Waste disposal procedures: At controlled landfill site Form of supply: 25 kg bag Packing: A) Palletised on Wing-type pallets with: 6 top boards 26 mm thickness 4 bottom boards 26 mm thickness 3 stringers (hardwood) 9 x 9 cm board, fully screwed Pallet heights' shall not exceed one meter. Pallet weight shall not exceed 1.5 metric tones. Pallets are to be 'topped' with a plywood or fiberboard plate, sufficiently strong to take the weight of two pallets. B) Shrink wrapped with heavy duty or double polyethylene film (UV stabilised). C) Strapped with adjustable straps to enable re-tightening once bag contents have settled. Straps are to be outside the shrink wrapping. D) Marking: Each bag is to be clearly and indelibly marked with "Drilling Starch" in large black characters, the product name (generic), and internationally recognised safety hazard warning markings (where applicable). These markings shall be sufficient to withstand at least 6 months storage in desert conditions. Each pallet shall be marked with the order number, SAP number 1000064968 date of manufacture and date of product expiry (month and year). E) Layering: Bags on pallets are to be layered so that they are interlocking. F) Bag Quality: All chemicals are to be packed in good quality 5-ply paper bags with one ply polythene inner liner. Plastic/polypropylene bags are not acceptable. G) Deliveries: All supplies are to be made in 25 kg bags with all pallets carrying the same number of bags. The quantity per pallet is to be specified on the delivery. PDO Supplementary Requirements: Additives: No presence of any other polymeric or crosslinking materials Form: Pregelatinised starch (cold water hydrateable) protected from biodegradation by an environmentally friendly and safe biocide.Readily soluble in water without lumps. Tapioca starch is not permitted.
