CASCADING DOCUMENT FILE/BAG  We are seeking a manufacturer to produce a Cascading Document  File/Bag to our specific needs. BIDS NEED TO BE RECEIVED 1/24/09. Bids need to be itemized as to cost for: Case with associated printing, Files printed and not printed labels used, and Additional card protectors (2 types). Multiple types of shipping costs are to be included as separate line item. Please give production times needed, and order requirements. We also need to know how long specific types of shipping will require time wise. All shipping to be FOB USA. Outside case must be completely Orange (no two-tone colors as in photo)  HANDLE AND FRONT CLOSURE:  1. Handle is to be PP Not fiber as in photo) and may be a different color than orange. Would prefer bright blue handle rather than black if orange isnt available. 2. Handle to be securely attached to center top spine of case. 3. Closure to be located at the bottom center of the top flap and securely attached E. TEXTURE: To be smooth matt finish that is printable or able to have matt finish   Labels applied. During manufacturing  II. INSIDE OF FILE  A. FRONT COVER (top section): Clear attached flat pocket with top opening approximately 12 x 6 inches [305 mm x 152 mm] on inside front cover. Pocket to be applied by heat stapling  B. REINFORCING STRIP applied on top of file attachment point on the inside back just below top spine (as noted in photo.) attached by small rivets   C. FILES: 1. Eight (8) cascading files of heavy duty translucent Poly material  2. File size 13.125 inches [333 mm] wide x .12.5 inches [328]high  3 .Each file to have a reinforcing strip of poly that is heat stapled under each files top fold. 4. All files to have index tab in center top 2.25inches [57 mm] wide x .625 inches [15 mm]high with rounded corners. Tabs may have slant edges on the left and right tabs side 5. Files to cascade toward and over bottom front inside flap when cascaded. 6. Front (top file when cascade is closed) file of cascade to be cut shorter on the front edge than rest by 2.50 inches [64mm]with same index tab used in center.(see photo) On the front of this file 2 slide-in flat pockets are to be heat stapled. Flat pocket size 5.25[133 mm] inches wide X 6.0 inches [152 mm] high. This pocket is to hold a CD. Pockets may be combined together for application on to file. Pocket corners to be rounded. Two (2) Closable pockets with a fastening slit, Velcro closure, or snap closure are to applied over the slide in pockets 5.Pen Holder to be located on the page, type and placement manufacturers choice  III. PRINTING / LABELING   A. Approximately 75% of the outside cover will have printed text/art.  Cost will be the determining factor as to which process is used.   Either method; screen printing or labeling is acceptable. Most printing to be a   Single Color with the exception of the Logo that will be multi colored. 1. In the printed areas the User will be required to write with either an ink pen or a medium point permanent marker. It is extremely important to the product that this ink / marker does not rub off or come off with water Pen ink is to be able to be removed with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and not damage the printed matter. This must be considered in either method used.   III. PRINTING / LABELING (continued) 2. Medium Point pen / marker meeting these specifications to be included in bid price. B. PRINTED AREAS OUTSIDE COVER 1.Front Top Flat (outside) Logo will be multi colored approximately 5 colors Size: 5 inches {127MM] wide X 5 inches [127 mm] high.  2.Second area of printing 5 inches 1[27 mm]wide x 1 inch [25 mm]high in lower right corner of flap .  3.Back (outside) cover print area is approximately 11.0 inches [279mm] (wide) X 8.5 inches [229.mm] (high). 4.Bottom Flap (outside) Printed areas will be Left side 3.75 inches [96mm](wide) X 7.0 inches [178 mm] (high). Middle Bottom Flap 3.0inches [76 mm] (wide) x 3.0 inches [776mm] high print area and right side 3.0 inches [76 mm] wide x 3.0 inch [76mm] high area INSIDE FILES AREA 1.Left Pocket 3.0 inch [76mm] wide x 2.5 inches [76 mm](high) one line on outside of pocket and with a paper card stock weight identification card placed inside pocket. 2.Right Pocket Labeled with one line of printing. 3.Left and Right slide pockets labeled with one line of printing on top of each pocket 4.First cascade file tab to have 4 lines of printing. 5.Each remaining file tab to be labeled with one line of printing.  If it is not possible to print directly on the files then individual pressure sensitive sticker labels will need to be supplied by manufacturer.  NOTE: We will also require two (2) types of sheet protectors 1.2 pages of a nine space (9) top loading clear matt finish with NO holes punched on long side. Company name to be printed in left margin  2.1 page of a 10 space business card protector page. NO holes punched in left margin. Company name to be printed in Left margin area. 3.Both types of pages to match in all aspects except for number of slots.
