Extra moenia is a series of masterpieces of bronze sculptures by Matteo Pugliese. Each of his works is often composed of multiple components, seemingly discrete and broken, but also a perfect whole. Combined with the use of walls, extra moenia forms an embedded western sculpture manufacturer, which shows people's resistance spirit of breaking free and yearning for freedom. Immersed in the influence of classical art, each of his works continues the tradition of Italian classical sculpture in the Renaissance, and the depiction of every muscle and bone is very exquisite. They are human's attitude of pursuing freedom, and also the vivid embodiment of human's strength and form aesthetics.
