Cylindrical neodymium magnets are long, circular magnets that extend beyond their diameter and are typically used in recessed boreholes for clamping applications that require a large magnetic field. Neodymium Cylinder Magnets Machining Method
Generally, the small axially oriented cylinder D10mm can be pressed to shape and then ground and sliced. But sometimes the big axially oriented cylinder should be core-drilled or EDM cut from a block, so as to ensure the magnetic properties especially for high end grades or shorten the lead time. Prior to coating, the small cylinder needs vibration tumbling and the big cylinder needs manual chamfering.
