BX Series of PU Catalyst-BX-EM23A

BX-EM23A is an organic bismuth-zinc composite catalyst that exhibits the typical characteristics of eco-friendly bismuth-zinc catalysts:

Safe and environmentally friendly; it can serve as a replacement for organic lead, mercury, or tin compounds in certain applications.

Offers better hydrolysis resistance compared to T9; however, it may still undergo hydrolysis and lose activity in water-containing formulations for applications requiring higher hydrolysis resistance, please consider the AUCAT series.

Promotes the NCO/OH reaction. In both solvent-based and waterborne polyurethane systems, it helps suppress side reactions between water and NCO groups—thereby reducing CO2 generation—though its ability to selectively inhibit the isocyanate-water reaction is not as pronounced as that of the CUCAT or AUCAT series.

Provides excellent catalytic synergy: the organic bismuth component efficiently promotes the NCO/OH reaction, while the organic zinc component accelerates the final curing stage, resulting in faster overall solidification.

Demonstrates good compatibility; it can be used either independently or in combination with other organometallic compounds.
