Perlite Expansion Furnace / Vermiculite Expansion Furnace

Expanded perlite is produced by perlite expansion furnace, it is a kind of white granular material with a honeycomb structure inside which is made by preheating and instantaneous high temperature roasting. The principle is as follows: the perlite ore is crushed to form a certain size of ore. Thermal calcination, rapid heating above 1000 °C, water vaporization in ore, expansion in softened vitreous ore containing sand, forming a porous structure, volume expansion 10-30 times of non-metallic mineral products.



Expanded perlite application areas

1 Architecture: insulation and heat insulation of building roofs and walls; lightweight aggregates of building materials.

2 Industrial: Dip-pressed hydrophobic perlite insulation board, sound absorbing panel, partition wall panel, fireproof panel, etc.

3 Deep cold, low temperature engineering insulation, industrial equipment, pipeline insulation, etc. 4 Agriculture and horticulture: soil improver, soilless culture substrate, pesticide retardation agent.

5 Others: filter aids, fillers, abrasive materials, slag materials for steel making processes, etc.
