Sulfamic acid, also referred to as amidosulfonic/aminosulfonic acid, is a key molecular compound formula: NH?SO?H, MW: 97.09. It’s a colorless, water - soluble solid with a melting point of 205 °C decomposes at higher temps into H?O, SO?, SO?, N?.
Acting as an intermediate between sulfuric acid and sulfamide, it replaces –OH with –NH? groups without disrupting the sulfonyl –SO?– structure. Available in min. 99.5%/99.8% purity, it serves across industries:
Cleaning: Efficient agent for tough - to - remove deposits.
Chemical Processes: Catalyst for esterification, coagulator for urea - formaldehyde resins.
Manufacturing: Dye/pigment production, herbicide formulation, fire - extinguishing media ingredient.
Specialized Uses: Chloride stabilizer in pulp/paper, electroplating additive.
