Abt Electronics is America's largest independent single-store retailer of consumer electronics, major appliances, and furniture. Founded in 1936 by Jewel Abt and David Abt with just $800, our family-owned business began as a small store with only three employees in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Today, we have grown into the largest independent single-store appliance and electronics retailer in the country, situated on 68 acres in Glenview, Illinois.

Our third-generation family-run company provides unparalleled customer service with a team of 1,500 to 1,650 expert staff members. Our Glenview location boasts a massive 100,000 to 200,000 square-foot showroom and a 450,000 square-foot warehouse facility, all on 70 acres of land. We carry tens of thousands of products from top manufacturers like Sony, Apple, Samsung, and virtually every major brand name, with many products introduced exclusively at Abt before gaining widespread distribution.

Our store features a beautiful central atrium with a marble fountain that hosts choreographed water shows every hour, a tropical fish aquarium, complimentary fresh-baked cookies on weekends, and kids' activities. We offer various themed boutiques including the Gourmet Shop for kitchen essentials, Apple and Connect Stores for computers and tablets, the Time Boutique for fine watches, and the App Loft for mattresses.

We have been selling online since 1997 through our website www.abt.com and distribute products coast-to-coast across the United States. Our BBB accreditation dates back to 1976, and we were ranked #1 Best Place to Buy Large Appliances by Consumer Reports for 11 consecutive years from 2010 to 2020. With over 3,000 Yelp reviews and 450 Trustpilot reviews, our customers consistently praise our award-winning customer service, knowledgeable sales staff, competitive pricing, and guaranteed satisfaction.
